Sonia Mahadeo is a senior marketing, communications, and investor relations executive with deep expertise across asset management, institutional investing, and financial services. With almost two decades of experience, she brings a distinctive combination of capital markets fluency, strategic brand leadership, and stakeholder engagement experience, helping organizations strengthen market positioning, build investor confidence, and support long-term growth.
Since joining Alliance Advisors in 2026 as Vice President, Marketing, Sonia leads the firm’s marketing strategy, brand positioning, and communications platform, helping elevate market visibility, deepen client engagement, and support the firm’s continued growth.
Prior to Alliance Advisors, Sonia held leadership roles across some of Canada’s most respected investment and financial institutions, including Romspen Investment Corporation, Desjardins Global Asset Management, CI Global Asset Management, TD Greystone Asset Management, RBC, and a leading Canadian pension organization. Her experience spans institutional client strategy, investment communications, corporate marketing, and investor relations, with a consistent focus on aligning commercial objectives with compelling market narratives and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Sonia began her career in investor relations advising publicly listed small-cap mining and resource companies, building a strong foundation in capital markets communications, shareholder engagement, and corporate storytelling. This breadth of experience across public markets, institutional investing, and corporate strategy gives her a uniquely integrated perspective on reputation, growth, and investor engagement.
Sonia holds an Executive MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Business Law from Toronto Metropolitan University. She is currently completing executive studies in AI Strategy at Ivey, reflecting her interest in the evolving role of artificial intelligence, innovation, and data-driven decision-making across marketing and investment organizations.
